seriously. its overrated.
so for my first late night snickysnack last night i decided to coordinate with my peanut butter.

cheerios. BANANAS. CHOCOLATE. soymilk. pbloco chocolatelybananapeanutbutter goodness! delicious. as i suspected it would be.
a bit later i was wanting some more munchcrunch action.

apples and hummus.
then i just went at the jar of peanut butter. at one point i stopped long enough to slather some on a sandwich thin with banana slices and make a legit snack out of it. but then i just went back to the spoon.

by the time my head hit the pillow last night a third of the jar was gone.
dayum. im very upset about this. but only because its not going to last long. boo.
anyways.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
i woke up this morning and thought it best to avoid the PEANUT butter.

aka GOOD MORNING BARNEY BUTTER. this was one of the free samples i got in the mail. it was pretty good. but not like drop your pants good. if it were available around here [its not] and were comparable to wherever nut butter i was fixin to buy [doubt it. homegirls on a budget.] id grab a jar. but i dont think id ever shell out the extra dollahs for shipping. not my style. anyways. soymilknaner oats. fone. cranberries. delicious as always.
then it was off for a funfilled morning of self-inflicted pain. i mean. class.
i made it home with enough time to pack up some grub and out the door i went. to the cupcake factory!


i didnt eat the pure protein bar. i did make myself an iced latte or two. and obviously there were nibbles. i mean come on. i work around cupcakes. chocolate. and gelato. thatd be tough even for someone with some level of restraint.
after work i was planning on going for a run but then my friend who just returned from NEW ZEALAND offered up dinner with her fam. they were going to biaggis which in my humble [im always right.] opinion is not that great. but who am i to turn down free food?
i had a snack first because i got off at six and was gettin hungry and dinner wasnt until sevenfifteen.

there must be some food that i ate that isnt orange..right? there might have been crackers too? okay. there definitely were.
anyways. no pictures from dinner. but i managed to eat a good portion of the big house salad for the table. drenched in dressing. not so fun. but whats a gal to do? for my entree of sorts i ordered the mediterranean pizza. it was a biggin. and i was good only ate half of it. [moderation!] but as soon as i got home i went into the kitchen to put it in the fridge and ended up polishing off the other half. [its overrated anyways.]
so thats where i be now. unrunned. overeatened. supah tired. cest la vie.
no big plans for the rest of the evening. maybe trying to figure out how im going to get out of these pants. perhaps ive been overcompensating for my running these past few weeks. oops. i guess that means ill just have to go shopping for new jeans. ;]
anyways. if anyone wants to come over and play scrabble that sounds pretty alright with me right about now. byopb. [though any nut butter will do.]

so since friday ive eaten A TON but my pictures are all
sort of blah or nonexistent so were just going to pff that.
just imagine lots of good healthy eating all day long. and
then once the night arrives LOTS of cereal. peanutbutter.
chocolate. cottagecheese with spicyflaxchips. etc etc etc.
you havent missed too much excitement in my not eats either.
worked for a long arse time friday. ran all day saturday. worked
for another long arse time saturday night. grumble grumble.
the silver lining to all that work though. i just HAD to sample
the new truffles and caramels and sparkling wines we got..
you know. just in case someone was curious about any of them.
and the gelatos arent new. but i had to remind myself of how
scrumptious they were since id been away for break and such.
yesterday i ran thirteen miles. BALLIN. my hip got a bit tight
around mile eleven which sort of freaked me out. moh well.
hopefully i can manage to tack on that last point one miles
next weekend. i dont know though. cross your fingers eh? ;]

okay. heres ONE picture from yesterday. just because
it turned out sort of cute. and was horribly delicious.

salad. nothing new. blackbeans. chicken. peppers. carrots. salsa/hummus mix. kashi lovebites. strawberries/kiwi. yada yada.
NOW ONWARD TO SUNDAY.
i woke up and slothed around in bed for an excessive amount of
time because its sunday and pretty much required in these parts.
eventually i realized eating is required as well so i had this gem:

i polished off the corn bran. seventeen servings. hahaha. more like five. also in the pool..soymilk. protein powder. frozen banana chunks.
the colors in the bowl were sort of bland so i dove into my dirty laundry for that shirt for a pop of color. the things i do for you guys.
then i continued to sloth in bed for a long ass time. totally fine.
doing absolutely nothing is hard work so i had to refuel.

as you can see the novelty of the monster plate has worn off.
i whipped up a wrap with spinach and a mixture of carrots. corn. broccoli. black beans. salsa. etc. the bit that wouldnt fit in got its own cute little bowl. alongside i had some delicious fruit from earlier in the week. much more colorful than breakfast for sure.

dessert!
more bed action. hollah.
i should add that all of this time spent in bed was sort of productive. i had lots of school work to do. it only took me like eight hours to do about fortytwo minutes worth of work. thats pretty legit for this gal.
at this point my fridge was pretty barren so.. GROCERIES. yesssss.
before i left i ate a banana. no picture because my camera battery was charging.
i pretty much looked like this:

at the grocery store i also managed to munch on half the bag of grapes while perusing. i totally owe meijer like threebucks. oops.
meijer didnt have much by way of sweet potatoes so i zipped across the street to walmart afterwards to pick up a couple. walmart randomly has a subway in it? so on the way out the door the smell of stinky feet wafted towards me and i was hooked. damn you subway.

ovenroastedchickenbreast with lots of veggies. mmm. banana peppers. and i dont know whats in that cup but its definitely not diet coke. i only put wholesome healthy good for me things in my hotbod.
now im back in bed because i havent spent enough time here today.
i really need to ‘study’ but im crazyintelligent and so it is unnecessary.

hold the phone. i havent had any peanut butter today.

GUESS WHO FOUND THEIR ICARD!!!
and just in the nick of time.
i was in my nine am packing my stuff up at the end of the class and i was planning on shellin out the twentybuckers to get a new one before my eleven and as i was crammin my notebook and ‘course manual’ into my bag I FOUND IT! i totally squealed and started shaking i was so excited. hahaha. its the little things..right? [im guessing it got stuck in my course manual or something because i had previously checked in all my notebook and my bag and well everywhere under the sun. or so i thought.]
anyways. yeah. maaaaaade my day.
speaking of my day. it was a gooden for suuuuure. thus far anyways.
im been the opposite of productive but i dont give two licks.
[i have random pictures of figlets and peanut butter and chocolate and various snackies from last night buuuuut eh. whatevs. its MONDAY yall.]
breakfast had to be quick. and it definitely was lacking in fresh colorful fruit. :/

corn bran. mmmm. for some reason they dont sell it at meijer so i always have to bring a box back to me when im at home. also in the bowl of fun was soymilk banana chunks and chocolate protein powder. chocolate protein powder and cereal is so bomb. i love the gritty chunks.
then class. squeal/shakefest. and some more clissclass. groan.

my lunch turned out way orange. so to be obnoxious/excessive i put it on my orange cmn folder along with my orange phone.
my homemade hummus is the bomb. first time ive ever made it with tahini. and this was the real deal my friends. i had been looking for tahini for a while and so cath bought me some in TURKEY. i have nooooo idea what the jar says but i feel quite authentic when i eat my hummus. mmmm. turkish tahini.
after lunch i decided to NOT do the hoards of things i needed to and set out for a walk in the glorious weather. i was gone for a good two and a half hours. managed to walk about five miles. and hit up the health food store. the food coop. the new grocery store on campus. AND a korean grocery store.
the health food store/food coop are soooo overpriced but they have all the fun foods i see on blogs that want to try but cannot find elsewhere. i didnt buy anything [save a banana] but i enjoyed myself immensely. my friends think my grocery store obsession is weird. i think its lovely. i ducked into county market just to check it out and see how it compared to meijer..doesnt hold a candle. and of well i was just curious about the korean grocery store. i couldnt read a single label but i could sort of tell what things were based on the pictures. and i know what POCKY is. i didnt have any cash on me and didnt want to charge the buckfifty since it probably would have cost them more than that in transaction fees but soon that pocky will be mine.
the health food store is way on the other side of campus. well past it a bit actually. when i was perusing i got a little hungry. i was going to buy a bar [especially since they have all the fun clifs/laras that i cannot find elsewhere] but they were hecka money so i went with a banana. still the most ive ever paid for a banana. ninetyninecents a pound..really!? it was totally worth the thirtycents though. mmmm.

all that walking felt supa good on my legs which were definitely aching when i woke up from the run/drive combo.

this morning i woke up and it was sunny and cheery!
haha. GOTCHA. suckahs.
but at least breakfast was good.

the usual premix photo. hey wait..why is that dish of yogurt an awkward/disgusting color. PEANUTBUTTER. mmm.

so good. so good.
it was cold this morn. and i hate cold. and more so i hate running in the cold. mostly because i like to breathe. and when i combine cold and running not so much. so i managed to not breathe for a good three miles/twentyfour minutes [im callin up the folks at guinness..that has GOT to be a record of some kind]. then while the heart was still a pumpin and the snot was still a flowin i got my shred on.
as of late there seems to be a game of inspiration tag going on in the blogosphere. eh! eh! eh! !? so i thought i would play along.
i like this game because basically my lunch was the same thing ive been eating all week..but i get to blame it on someone else. ;]
okay. it wasnt the same thing ive been eating all week because it was SO MUCH BETTER. this lunch totally hit the spot [no..not THAT spot. pervert.]
so im nearly twentyone..but i look twelve. ergo i can still play with my food. kapeesh?

i had no intention of incorporating blueberries into my lunch but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

so heres what went down. i shoved. err. delicately positioned a flatout wrap into an oven safe bowl and stowed her away in the toaster oven whilest i prepared the innards.
you cannot see it so much but there is a layer of sauteed spinach topped with all those above veggies: peppers. onions. zucchini. mushrooms. carrots. etc. these were also sauteed with some FAJITA spices. mmmm.
and of course the blackbeandip/salsa combo had to rear its ugly head. and by ugly i obviously mean delicious.
enjoyed with a cara cara orange and of course those gosh darn blueberries.

and i may or may not have just ran to the kitchen and hit up the peanut butter jar just a tick ago when i was typing out breakfast. but whos to say for sure?
cath is gonna be home from work in a bit and if i dont clean up the explosion i left in the kitchen it may be the end of me and we simply cannot have that now can we?

spring break is flying by. is wednesday seriously over?!
per usual i am behind on the bloggage. oops. no worries. im here to get you up to speed.
monday night ended with lots of peanut butter and crackers as well cereal. no pictures. scroll down. i have a couple of pictures of peanut butter on here im sure. ;]
i woke up yesterday and made the most scrumptious of breakfasts.

i started off with this amazing bowl of strawberries. nectarine. kiwi. blueberries. and grapes.

and then i added loads of cerealmash and vanilla yogurt. enjoyed with the latest issue of clean eating magazine and a cuppa joe.
the rest of the day was awkward in terms of eating. it rained on and off aaaaaall day and so i kept just eating light ‘pre-run’ snacks and then as soon as i would throw on my nikes and down pour started up again. eventually i went to the hospital [where my mother works] and used a treadmill in cardiac rehab after all the patients were done for the day. five sweeeeeeeaty miles in about thirtyeight minutes. and i piddled with some weights for a few.

heres the one picture i managed to take between breakfast and ‘dinner’. mmm. i love airline pretzels. haha.
after my sweatfest i made ‘dinner’ though it was pretty early. either way it was divine.

salad contents: mixed greens. spinach. sauteed zucchini. mushroom. peppers. carrots. corn. etc etc. my ‘dressing’ was a mix of trader joes black bean dip and salsa. and trader joes veggie tortilla chips on the side. my little egyptian camel friend wanted a bite.
then to continue on the with trader joes munchin i went back for more chips and black bean dip. so good. so good.

i obviously needed late night nibbles.

and then when i was taking my little mug back to the kitchen i decided to fill er up again.

this time we have gala chunks. cerealmishmosh. and more peanut butter.

mmmm. yoga and a warm cozy bed.
this morning i woke up and had breakfast before heading to the doc for my annual check up. mmmm. my favorite.

i swear there is a bagel smothered in a peanutbutter/yogurt mix under there somewhere. such a perfect way to start my morning.

lunch was pretty superb as well. that wrap is hiding an eggie scramble with lots of spinach. peppers. carrots. mushrooms. salsa. and black bean dip. half a pear. and grapes. [i ate lots more than pictured.]

for dessert i had the other half of my pear with the last of this jar of italian generic brand nutella. whats that they say..when in rome? [hahahaha. i thought that was way more funny than i should have.]
as you may have noticed i have serious obsessions with certain foods. [hello peanut butter. cereal. sweet potatoes. chocolate. etc.] so it should be no surprise that this was my afternoon snack:

LOTS of trader joes veggie tortilla chips and black bean dip. i am not kidding when i say lots. i generally cant go more than three hours without food and i was still miserably full a good four hours after this munchfest.
somehow i still managed to find room for dinner. ;]

i baked up a sweet potato with spinach. bbq sauce. peppers. mushrooms. carrots. and pineapple. this picture is terribly awkward but youll just have to believe me when i say this was delicious.
and now i think were pretty much updated. woo.
since my afternoon snack was so much bigger than usual maybe i wont be AS snacky tonight.
hahahahahahahahaha. who are we kidding.
it was cold and dreary all day today so i just wasnt feelin a run in the frigidness so i did some level three shredin and core yoga this afternoon. i was a hot mess afterward. love.
i think ive bumbled on for long enough. hope all is well on that side of the screen.

we have much to chat of so lets get to it.
SATURDAYNIGHTMUNCHFEST:

edys fudge tracks. cereal!!! and newmans own organics newman os. peanut butter style. [see below for a bit more].
then i went back for more cereal. this times two:


awkward combo? maybe. but i still ate a boatload. nom.
PRODUCT REVIEW:
newmans own organics peanut butter newman os.
these were super good. as one would imagine they taste quite similar to oreos. but without all the ridiculous ingredients. peanut butter. chocolate. cookie. what more could you ask for? the only downside was that a serving was two. who only eats two cookies? not this girl. nu uh.
i crashed and woke up yesterday morning to some yoga. refreshing.

this breakfast was the bomb diggity. toasted bagel with peanut butter and strawberries. blueberries. and banananananana.
then i was all set to go out for my long run. but the weather thought otherwise. i nibbled throughout the morning and FINALLY got to head out for my run three hours after planned. obnoxious.
i pounded out ELEVEN miles [woo. new distance pr.] in straight up an hourandahalf. i was draggin the beginning but once i got my ass in gear it was a pretty great run all around. i did a fiveandahalfish mile loop. twice. so once i finished the first lap i was in front of my house and i enjoyed this midrun snack:

i ate about a third of the clif bar before the run. a third midrun. and a third post run. it worked out quite nicely. it was my first time eating midrun. i definitely thought it helped me keep my energy up for the second half. but that could just be the placebo effect? that yellow cup is full of water. fyi.
cathmeister had a meeting in the next town over. aka a much more legit town than mine. so i tagged along and sipped a latte at panera while she met.

i discreetly captured a photo on my mac so that i didnt have to be the creepy loner girl in the corner taking pictures of her latte.
during this time i was fixin to register for my half since i had been putting it off to see if my hip would be able to handle the distance/training and i was devastated to find out that IT WAS FULL! i freaked out my friends. freaked. out. i emailed everyone i could from the ‘contact us’ section and did everything in my power to not burst into tears in the middle of panera. thankfully a nice chap emailed me back a few hours later and said that if i mailed in a registration form he would set me all up. PHEW.
cath and i hit up los agaves for dinner. typical momandpop mexican style restaurant. i got the pescado something or another.

tilapia [which was huge. its buried but took up well over half the bigass plate. at least the size of my head.] shrimp. zucchini. squash. peppers. onions. mushrooms? loads of butter. side salad. and all the usual mexican restaurant bells and whistles.
then we hit up target and i went to the grocery store again. because i needed bananas. somehow i managed to leave with much more? oops.
obviously dessert was necessary once i got home.

i started out with a honkin bowl of edys fudge tracks. cereal mix. and peanut butter. so good. so good.

and then i remembered that i had ran eleven miles so i had a couple more servings of cerealmix with strawberries and blueberries. check out my cute new bowl from target. loooooove clearance endcaps. :]
this morning cath and i set out on a bit of adventure. i was in dire need of a car. [since i totaled mine in november. stupid icy interstates. :/] we headed out bright and early this morning.

packed up breakfast. i am sooo loving the abundance of fruit i have at my disposal right now.
lunch was just at a random italian restaurant/bar. no picture because i just got a grilled chicken salad. nothing too special. but it did its job.
after several breakdowns on my end i finally got my car! yay. its an ohfour grey jetta. shes definitely got some lovin goin on by way of nicks and scratches but shes all mine and i am in love.
dinner was inspired by everyones favorite bender. COSI. oh my goodness. it was super good. no wonder jenn used to eat there all the time last spring. i got the ‘duo’. half fire-roasted veggie and a bowl of tomato basil soup. however they accidently made me a full sandwich. bummer. it was so good. i loved the soup. and i ended up plopping a bunch of the roasted veggies [zuke. squash. onions. peppers. eggplant. etc.] into the soup and then using the flatbread to scoop it all out.

cath got the chicken bmt [basil mozzerella tomato] and loved every bite.

[she had the soup too!]

we did what we had to do.
since we were in the suburbs we hit up trader joes because its my all time favorite and i get to go about once a year. tragic. i got some good stuff so be ready for it. :]
now im plopped on the couch enjoying a bowl of delicious.

wow. ive eaten out a whole sackload in the past few days which is so out of the ordinary for me. when im at school i DO NOT eat out. ever. cath and i have just been out and about so much that we dont have many other options ya know. this girls gotta eat.

we have a cute little place on campus called za’s. its got soups. salads. sandwiches. pasta. and pizza [!!!] and everything is customizable. i dont know if its my all time favorite restaurant but i do enjoy myself every time i go there. i love being able to get exactly what i want when i eat out.

since i left you all in such eager anticipation of my last nights dinner lets just do the damn thing.
but youll have to hold out just a tick longer. were startin with caths.

a pumpkin curry of sorts. i tried it. super delish. shrimp. pumpkin. green peppers. yum.
okay okay. here it is yall:

so it was just called ‘eggplant’. id call it delicious. eggplant. green peppers. onion. shrimp. and a DIVINE black bean sauce. this was soooo good yall. and look at how cute the little flower carrot on that rice is. !!!
after dinner we hit up the grocery store to get some essentials. aka ice cream. and of course loads more.

my mum taught me all about cereal mixing. heres a premixed mash of kashi go lean. kashi crunch. and fiber one. and edys fudge tracks. and of course between bites i finished off this:

this morning i lazed around in bed and did some yoga before breakfast.

imma call these my ‘spring break oats’ because i accidently put in a load of vanilla and my oats looked like they just got back from a week in cancun. bananas. cinnamon. dried crans. cereal mosh. and a fresh dollop of peanut butter also join the festivities. [i swear theres banana oats in there somewhere.]
then i went for a lovely four mile run. paced about eightminute miles give or take. which is way fast for me not on the treadmill. im usually a slowpoke when i dont have anything to pace me.
the weather was fabulous today. we got to about sixty and the sun was a shinin all the day long. score.

haha. sorry im such a cheeseball. this salad was soo good. mixed greens. strawberries. peppers. carrots. blueberries. balsamic. with kashi lovebites on the side. :] and a random hardboiled egg white for protein.

apples with hummus make the best snack.

i loved hearing about everyones first jobs. ive had some doozies. dairy queen. [in the back. lots of greasescrubbin. not so much the cutesie ice cream job.] classic tan.
