hello birds!

how are you on this lovely sunday morning?!

i found these random two breakfasts
on my camera from a few days ago?

this one must be waaaay old because thats definitely dark chocolate dreams. which has been gone for a while now. im done off with another jar and a half since this breakfast. either which way. scrumptious.

i can always manage to get pictures of breakfast. then its all downhill from there. maybe i should reformat my blog? ;] [p.s. loooove that blog. so quaint!]

anywhoooo. onto bigger and better things. like yesterday!

i decided to channel my inner lolita yesterday and have a ‘sloth day‘.
[disregard that she worked all evening. and i did quite the opposite.]

so yes yes. sloth day. home makes me so laaaazy.
[and i certainly dont mean sexy.]
but i absolutely love it. aint no shame in being a big ole blob from time to time.

i woke up to a simple breakfast of sorts.

super bananical oats with peanut butter. and crooked coffee. hit the spot.

the oats were way hot and as i let them cool the peanut butter got super oozey.

lunch was pretty lame. our produce is seriously lacking as of current.

i usually opt for fresh romaine and spinach but all we had was some bagged stuff. it sufficed. topped with green bell pepper. pineapple and something or another salsa. and kashi fireroasted veggie crackers. [my fave flavor for sure.]

im trying with all my might to unpack the stuff from my apartment but well.. yeah. anyways. i was looking through some boxes of stuff in my room [not apartment stuff. old room stuff.] and i found these gems:

our house is full of food. but theres nothing to eat. it drives me bonkers.

so dinner was a old favorite.

either way. dinner was delish.

a bit later i met up with my gal brittany and we went uptown to some of the bars. let me just say that i live in a town of sixthousand [pretty sure thats including the livestock]. surrounded by cornfields. and cattle. and tractors. the bars are.. well. this sure aint no college campus. but i do love me a good nascar jacket.

we chitted and chatted and caught up. i flirted around with my fellah mister daniels. it was a good time for sure. our gal elaina showed up a bit later. i hadnt seen these gals much since high school. elaina is now married and brittany has a wee baby and is essentially engaged. dont worry. im still eternally single and horribly immature. nice.

a few fellas tried their darndest to get me to cheat on my boy jack with their friend jose but i wasnt havent it. i knew my gal tammy would never have it.
[im such a hick. yeehaw.]

anyways. i came home and polished off the hot and spicy cheez its. and the easter candy. mmmm.

im back yall. woo hoo.

to be honest ive had a computer since monday
[ended up having to just buy a new one. so having
to wait the two weeks to see if my fatherman could
fix it was sort of for naught. cest la vie am i right?]
..but yeah. anyways. i just wasnt ready to get back
into the whole blogging thing. im still sort of not.
as in i havent been taking pictures of my eats. but
truuuuuuust me. ive been eating. in excess. yum!

obviously not a complete representation of what
i have been eating for the past two and a half or
so weeks but here are a few photos from when i
first stopped blogging and didnt know how long
my hiatus would be. lots and lots more peanut
butter. frozen yogurt. ice cream. cookies. etc etc.
also. nutritional things. in moderation of course. ;]

anyways. tonight and tomorrow are going to worktastical.

seriously. its overrated.

so for my first late night snickysnack last night i decided to coordinate with my peanut butter.

then i just went at the jar of peanut butter. at one point i stopped long enough to slather some on a sandwich thin with banana slices and make a legit snack out of it. but then i just went back to the spoon.

dayum. im very upset about this. but only because its not going to last long. boo.

i woke up this morning and thought it best to avoid the PEANUT butter.

aka GOOD MORNING BARNEY BUTTER. this was one of the free samples i got in the mail. it was pretty good. but not like drop your pants good. if it were available around here [its not] and were comparable to wherever nut butter i was fixin to buy [doubt it. homegirls on a budget.] id grab a jar. but i dont think id ever shell out the extra dollahs for shipping. not my style. anyways. soymilknaner oats. fone. cranberries. delicious as always.

then it was off for a funfilled morning of self-inflicted pain. i mean. class.

i made it home with enough time to pack up some grub and out the door i went. to the cupcake factory!

i didnt eat the pure protein bar. i did make myself an iced latte or two. and obviously there were nibbles. i mean come on. i work around cupcakes. chocolate. and gelato. thatd be tough even for someone with some level of restraint.

after work i was planning on going for a run but then my friend who just returned from NEW ZEALAND offered up dinner with her fam. they were going to biaggis which in my humble [im always right.] opinion is not that great. but who am i to turn down free food?

i had a snack first because i got off at six and was gettin hungry and dinner wasnt until sevenfifteen.

there must be some food that i ate that isnt orange..right? there might have been crackers too? okay. there definitely were.

anyways. no pictures from dinner. but i managed to eat a good portion of the big house salad for the table. drenched in dressing. not so fun. but whats a gal to do? for my entree of sorts i ordered the mediterranean pizza. it was a biggin. and i was good only ate half of it. [moderation!] but as soon as i got home i went into the kitchen to put it in the fridge and ended up polishing off the other half. [its overrated anyways.]

so thats where i be now. unrunned. overeatened. supah tired. cest la vie.

no big plans for the rest of the evening. maybe trying to figure out how im going to get out of these pants. perhaps ive been overcompensating for my running these past few weeks. oops. i guess that means ill just have to go shopping for new jeans. ;]

anyways. if anyone wants to come over and play scrabble that sounds pretty alright with me right about now. byopb. [though any nut butter will do.]

babies. yes. plural. as in TWO. two

i just got back from normal. they are
sooooo little. i dont even like babies
but these two. oh my good golly.

anyways. my picture taking has been
sort of lacking and such. and i have
to get some schtuff done tonight so
ill just leave you with a gallery of a

on the exercise front ive been takin
it pretty easy. nice three mile run
yesterday. a little jaunt on the good

hello my little friends.

thanks so much for all your lovely comments
about my run. it was amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing.

and yesterday was fabulous as well. i ate so much.
the funny thing is that i didnt eat a lot when i was
celebrating the holiday and such. but between the
easter candy throughout the day and my mondo
attack of the cabinets once i got back to school
last night i should be able to go about six days
without eating again. should being the key word.

lets get back into the swing of things though eh?

so for breakfast this morning i had an eggie scramble that i shoved into a pita along with an apple drenched in cinnamon and peanutbutter. the pictures just werent that great though. stupid dreary rain. so here is the one picture i managed to snap on friday:

[everything is fine..i just love the nineties.]

anyways. i really am torn though.

i dont know if i want saturday morning to get here right now.
or to never ever come. oy ve. my tummy is all sorts of jumbled.

the funny thing is i dont know why im so nerrrrrvous. i KNOW
i can run thirteenpointonemiles. and i sincerely just want to
run a halfmarathon. time is of no importance. quite puzzling.

anyways. food pictures are sooo much better than my rambles.

IM OUT OF COFFEE. which is sort of a good thing. because coffee before i run always gives me the poops [sorry] and i dont want to even be tempted to drink any on saturday morning. that bowl looks so tiny. i think its because that spoon is itty bitty so it throws off the proportions. moh well.

i always get my workout on after a bit of digestion on tuesday and thursday so it was weird to not today. but i obeyed my buddy hal.

besides..i had studying to do. [i slept and snack ALL DAY].

here we have my dear friend mister deconstructedturkeypita. i bronzed a pita pita in the toaster oven with lots of chilipowder and cumin and smoked paprika. mostly for the colors. and then chopped up some carrots and peppers. some turkey for protein and such. all dipped in a bbq/hummus bowl of divine. and half a HUGE apple with cinnamon. and little chunk of a butterfinger that i discovered and munched on last night. mmm. what a lovely little lunching experience i had.

then it was go time. dumb exam. theres always summer school..right?

i made it through classes without the need for a snack. but i was gettin sort of grumbly on my walk home so i munched on this guy so that i didnt absolutely obliterate my wee kitchen once i walked in the door. my plan quasi worked. who gnu?

i like to mix it up. so for dinner i had a salad since i NEVER eat salads. romaine. spinach. and then a mix of veggies and shrimp all cooked up in lime juice. chili powder. and hot sauce. i topped the salad with salsa and my lovely traderjoeschips and called it delicious.

it was so nice out and i wanted to keep running but i was a good little lamb and only ran the two and at a comfortable easy pace. go me.

lotsa flavor going on here. all so so good. as far the granola goes. well. its fabulous. but i think i like the cinnamon raisin a tid better. but id take either any day of the week.

so after i left you sunday i had the most DIVINE dessert.
but i didnt take a picture because it looked so nasty. haha.

anyways. i mashed up a frozen banana. some soymilk. the
other half of my erinbaker breakfast cookie. and LOTS of
peanutbutter. it was totally unreal. i ate lots of other stuff too.

yesterday morning i woke up and had to rush off to take care of some businessssss so i grabbed breakfast and off i went.

between a couple of classes i jolted off to the arc to get my four mile run in [tapering and such]. unfortunately i was pressed for time so i had to sprint the four miles [subthirtyminutes] and so i think i defeated the purpose of tapering?

yep.

hello puppies.

you guys are superb. all of your comments on my
last post were supah sweet and i was lovin them.
[except heathers: 'College is hard, but real life is worse. :D '
gee thanks heather. that makes me feel loads better.
perhaps she was just hangry? haha. just kidding. kisses!]

so since friday ive eaten A TON but my pictures are all
sort of blah or nonexistent so were just going to pff that.
just imagine lots of good healthy eating all day long. and
then once the night arrives LOTS of cereal. peanutbutter.
chocolate. cottagecheese with spicyflaxchips. etc etc etc.

you havent missed too much excitement in my not eats either.
worked for a long arse time friday. ran all day saturday. worked
for another long arse time saturday night. grumble grumble.

the silver lining to all that work though. i just HAD to sample
the new truffles and caramels and sparkling wines we got..
you know. just in case someone was curious about any of them.
and the gelatos arent new. but i had to remind myself of how
scrumptious they were since id been away for break and such.

yesterday i ran thirteen miles. BALLIN. my hip got a bit tight
around mile eleven which sort of freaked me out. moh well.
hopefully i can manage to tack on that last point one miles
next weekend. i dont know though. cross your fingers eh? ;]

i woke up and slothed around in bed for an excessive amount of
time because its sunday and pretty much required in these parts.

eventually i realized eating is required as well so i had this gem:

i polished off the corn bran. seventeen servings. hahaha. more like five. also in the pool..soymilk. protein powder. frozen banana chunks.

the colors in the bowl were sort of bland so i dove into my dirty laundry for that shirt for a pop of color. the things i do for you guys.

then i continued to sloth in bed for a long ass time. totally fine.

doing absolutely nothing is hard work so i had to refuel.

as you can see the novelty of the monster plate has worn off.

i whipped up a wrap with spinach and a mixture of carrots. corn. broccoli. black beans. salsa. etc. the bit that wouldnt fit in got its own cute little bowl. alongside i had some delicious fruit from earlier in the week. much more colorful than breakfast for sure.

i should add that all of this time spent in bed was sort of productive. i had lots of school work to do. it only took me like eight hours to do about fortytwo minutes worth of work. thats pretty legit for this gal.

at this point my fridge was pretty barren so.. GROCERIES. yesssss.

before i left i ate a banana. no picture because my camera battery was charging.

at the grocery store i also managed to munch on half the bag of grapes while perusing. i totally owe meijer like threebucks. oops.

meijer didnt have much by way of sweet potatoes so i zipped across the street to walmart afterwards to pick up a couple. walmart randomly has a subway in it? so on the way out the door the smell of stinky feet wafted towards me and i was hooked. damn you subway.

enough ive had the opportunity. totally awk right?

yesterday morning i had a lovely six mile or so run.
i got all nice and sweaty. and red and puffy. sexy no?

then i came home and ate. i mean showered. [nah man. i ate.]

just a snackish plate of sorts. i ate double the amount of cottage cheese and crackers for sure though. i think i eat half my meals before they even make it to the plate. whoops. [and yeah. that monster is totally tryin to eat my cottage cheese. i showed him what was up though. no worries.]

lunch dessert! strawberries. chocolate. peanut butter. could it get any better?! [well..chocolate covered pretzels would have been nice but..]

i packed up this little gem and headed out to my classes.

this was a GNU flavor for me and good grief was it swell. i think i preferred the peanut butter [shocking i know] but this one was super divine. i think maybe a peanutbutterbananawalnut fusion is in order. and hey. i still gotta try the chocolate one. hmmmm. i like where this is headed.

so i had made a point to check the ten DAY forecast in the morning..but failed to check the ten HOUR forecast. aka i had a nice walk home in the rain. in leather flipflops. sans umbrella. oy.

dinner was so good though that i totally didnt care.

i baked up a sweetpotato and mashed it all up with some black beans and bbqsauce and wrapped it all up with some spinach in a flatout wrap. sooo good. i broiled the whole thing to help keep the wrap together. when i was done i seriously contemplated making another. i also tried kale chips for the first time. they were so awkward and made me uncomfortable while i was eating them. but i definitely loved them. [!?] and yay for delicious fruit.

then i started to get a little stressed out. and when this galfriday
gets stressed out she EATS. so i did.

this was so good. my first time trying the erin baker breakfast cookies. definitely not my last. the ingredients are totally legit but the cookie taste did not reflect that. seriously. go try these. [that notebook is just for you munchhead.]

at this point i started going at the jar of peanut butter to comfort my sorry self. and then i thought this might work out better than just straight up spoonfuls:

but i still ended up with more skippylove.
and some more kashis with cottage cheese.
and a piece or two of chocolate.

im stressed out okay. dont judge.

anyways. zzzzzzzz. but not really.
i did not sleep well last night. bummer.

corn bran. frozen banana chunks and berries. soymilk. and of course my clumpy chocolate protein powder was added post picture.

i was running late this morning. per usual. so i just grabbed half a clif bar i had lying around to eat between classes. oatmeal raisin walnut. aka best flavor ever.

my head is all congested and nast right now [definitely self-induced. thanks again stress.] so im takin the day off on the exercise front. sometimes its just what you need. ya know?

im gonna go whip up some lunch and then shower and get ready for work. grumble grumble. think of me while youre all off enjoying your friday night. i think im the only person that more often than not does not look forward to friday. come on sunday.

im a total sunday girl. as a general rule i am not allowed to do anything i do not want to on sundays. and dude. football. :]
