im back yall. woo hoo.
to be honest ive had a computer since monday
[ended up having to just buy a new one. so having
to wait the two weeks to see if my fatherman could
fix it was sort of for naught. cest la vie am i right?]
..but yeah. anyways. i just wasnt ready to get back
into the whole blogging thing. im still sort of not.
as in i havent been taking pictures of my eats. but
truuuuuuust me. ive been eating. in excess. yum!
obviously not a complete representation of what
i have been eating for the past two and a half or
so weeks but here are a few photos from when i
first stopped blogging and didnt know how long
my hiatus would be. lots and lots more peanut
butter. frozen yogurt. ice cream. cookies. etc etc.
also. nutritional things. in moderation of course. ;]
anyways. tonight and tomorrow are going to worktastical.

i have an exam tomorrow. and well. uh. its going to be interesting.
speaking of delicious late night snacks on tuesday!
and then i had the other half of the apple. eaten like this:
my peanut butter rationing plan was out the window before i could even open the jar. oops.
and since i gave up on rationing i munched on more traderjoes spicyflaxtortillachips. [and some chocolate.]
ive decided i just need to take a roadtrip to a destination with a trader joes. anyone jonesin for a visitor? ;]
i woke up this morning and knew breakfast had to be quick so i had a cottage cheese bowl. it had been so long!
classes today drug on to no end. buzzkill.
once i finally made it back to my apartment i decided to lace up for my last run before my half on saturday [FREAKOUT].
i obviously needed some serious fuel for my two miler so i had the last half of this baby.
it was so nice out and i wanted to keep running but i was a good little lamb and only ran the two and at a comfortable easy pace. go me.
i stretched out. showered. slothed. and then whipped up this great little diddie of a lunch.
i mixed up some tuna with the bbqsauce/hummus combo and some carrot nibs and pepper bits and shoved the whole smosh into a pepperbutt. with a bit of salad action [carrots. peps. kashi lovebites. more bbq/hummus. etc etc]. i had those grapes times a bunch. also shown: insideoutdirtyyellowsweater backdrop. mmmm. classy.
at this point i set out to do some serious studying..
and countless other nibbles.
is it to late to change my major to eating..with a concentration in peanut butter?
i sort of. quasi. maybe got a little bit accomplished but then i realized i was too famished to do anything else. no really. i hadnt eaten in like thirtysevenminutes.
for dinner i whipped up a scramble with corn. peppers. carrots. spinach. salsa. and hot sauce. oh. and eggies. postphoto i smushed half of the mixture into a pita. oh the side i had the last of my random plethora of fruit and some strawberries.
my fruit stash is quite low. a couple more stawberries. a few apples. and some bananas [ a few frozen. a few supah ripe..aka perfect]. tragedy.
i just finished up a superb late night snack!
SNACKBOWL! love. this little gem has some cheerios [ i want to be her.] newmans own organic cinnamon sugar soy crisps. some zoes cranberries currants granola. pistachios. more dried cranberries. and chocolate chunks.
lotsa flavor going on here. all so so good. as far the granola goes. well. its fabulous. but i think i like the cinnamon raisin a tid better. but id take either any day of the week.
the munchfest continues on. but the camera has retired for the night. use your imagination eh?
im off to study. and by study i mean go to bed. and by go to bed i mean stay up to an ungodly hour doing who knows what with lord knows who.
and my question tonight is for all yall runners out there. its gettin to be race time..

i dont speak french.
how are things my gruff billygoat friends?
so after i left you sunday i had the most DIVINE dessert.
but i didnt take a picture because it looked so nasty. haha.
anyways. i mashed up a frozen banana. some soymilk. the
other half of my erinbaker breakfast cookie. and LOTS of
peanutbutter. it was totally unreal. i ate lots of other stuff too.
yesterday morning i woke up and had to rush off to take care of some businessssss so i grabbed breakfast and off i went.
mmm. oatmeal raisin cookies for breakfast? yes please.
between a couple of classes i jolted off to the arc to get my four mile run in [tapering and such]. unfortunately i was pressed for time so i had to sprint the four miles [subthirtyminutes] and so i think i defeated the purpose of tapering?
yeah. im that sweaty girl in class. gross.
at least i had time to shower before work?
packed lunch for sure. i feel like this picture makes my salad look very small and my fruit look very big. either way it was all very good.
and well..i work at a cupcake bar. and we just started our new spring flavors yesterday. aka there was a lot of nibbling going on. the things i do for my customers right?
i may have also made myself a vanilla latte for my trek home. yum.
please note that i am wearing gloves. also note that i ran in shorts and a tank top on saturday.
dinner was a classic. but first..
i munched on a ton of grapes. i shouldnt buy grapes because i could easily eat the whole bag in like three opens of the refrigerator..if that makes any sense. [i wish i could invite you all into my head. things make so much more sense in there(here?).]
say it yesterdaywasyourbirthdaygirl! plus a mishmosh of veggies and black bean. and BBQ SAUCE.
i have a big ass exam on thursday so i tried to pretend to study for a bit but uh..
chocolate [thats not a whole bar..] kettle corn. zoes granola. LOTS of salt and cinnamon. munchcrunchlove.
interpret this as you will. [but lets just say im now down to four jars of peanut/nutbutter..or so i thought (foreshadowing much?).]
i probably ate more too. because its me.
i added soymilk to my oats for the first time ever this morning.
holy bagoly majoly. so good.
i tried to leave a wee gap in the toppings [which were fone. dried cranberries. and recalled nut of sorts.] so you could see how creamy the banana soymilk combo made them. no dice.
eventually i headed off to do some light crosstraining. just thirty on the arctrainer. i took it supah easy and just enjoyed my ‘what not to wear’. oh clinton kelly..you will be mine. oh yes. you will be mine. and by mine i just mean well shop together and talk smack about other people. swoon.
working out vigorously [!?] requires much refueling.
a salad of sorts. bbqsauce makes my world go round. so do: carrots. peppers. kashi lovebites. turkey. and colorful bowls of fruit..since my salad was sort of dichromatic. [not a word?]
AND THEN I CHECKED THE MAIL!

chocolate times two. peanutbutter times at least six.
words cannot describe my friends. ah. and the jar count is back up to five! [well..four and a half at this point. oops. MUST RATION!]

my stomach has been on and off again wonky for the past couple of days so dinner is a little..awkward? i dont know man. it was just what sounded good. and i enjoyed it so that really all that matters.
these chips are from trader joes and are my loooove. in the past couple of nights ive eaten over half the bag. [MUST RATION.] i definitely went back for more chips and cottage. nom.
now i for real am going to study. seriously guys. really.

this morning i woke up and it was sunny and cheery!

it was cold this morn. and i hate cold. and more so i hate running in the cold. mostly because i like to breathe. and when i combine cold and running not so much. so i managed to not breathe for a good three miles/twentyfour minutes [im callin up the folks at guinness..that has GOT to be a record of some kind]. then while the heart was still a pumpin and the snot was still a flowin i got my shred on.
i like this game because basically my lunch was the same thing ive been eating all week..but i get to blame it on someone else. ;]
okay. it wasnt the same thing ive been eating all week because it was SO MUCH BETTER. this lunch totally hit the spot [no..not THAT spot. pervert.]
so im nearly twentyone..but i look twelve. ergo i can still play with my food. kapeesh?
i had no intention of incorporating blueberries into my lunch but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.
so heres what went down. i shoved. err. delicately positioned a flatout wrap into an oven safe bowl and stowed her away in the toaster oven whilest i prepared the innards.
you cannot see it so much but there is a layer of sauteed spinach topped with all those above veggies: peppers. onions. zucchini. mushrooms. carrots. etc. these were also sauteed with some FAJITA spices. mmmm.
and of course the blackbeandip/salsa combo had to rear its ugly head. and by ugly i obviously mean delicious.
enjoyed with a cara cara orange and of course those gosh darn blueberries.
and i may or may not have just ran to the kitchen and hit up the peanut butter jar just a tick ago when i was typing out breakfast. but whos to say for sure?
cath is gonna be home from work in a bit and if i dont clean up the explosion i left in the kitchen it may be the end of me and we simply cannot have that now can we?

is anyone else starting to think that the sun has forgotten how to shine? lord knows ive forgotten what sunshine looks like. buzzkill.
anywhooo. last night i had some munches. self-explanatory at this point.

and a moment of silence please. we lost another jar of peanut butter.
five days. not bad. not bad at all.
of course all i wanted when i woke up this morning was peanutbutter. no such luck. i found a pretty legit alternative breakfast though.

i spent most of the morning putzing around. i like to putz.

i nibbled a bit as i waited for some sunshine. no such luck.
i went out for a fivemiler. it took about fortyminutes give or take. when i started my legs felt tighter than a .. i think such inappropriate thoughts. you guys have no idea how much i censored myself for yall. thankfully after a half a mile or so they loosened up a bunch. woo.
i had to shovel down lunch so i could head out and check my car checked out by my mothers fellafriend.
spinach. mixed greens. carrots. peppers. corn. sweet potato chunks. pretzels for some crunch action. salsa/blackbeandip ‘dressing’.
i feel like i should apologize for such repetition in my eating. but im not going to because this was the bomb diggity. youre gonna have to deal.
apparently my trunk is all cock-eyed so when it rains my spare tire well gathers water. glorious. always the optimist matt told me i should just enjoy the fact that i have a hot tub in the back of my car. hardy harr harr. not amused.
cath tried her hand at homemade pizza dough tonight. oy ve.
this recipe calls for heating the pizza stone and then just putting the pizza on it for five minutes to crisp up. the transfer to the hot stone was quite a sight to be seen. i wanted a super crisp thin crust. hahahaha. not even close. oh well. it was still a delicious disaster.
i roasted peppers. onions. mushrooms. etc. then added those and some sundried tomatoes to the sauce laden dough. goodness that picture is haggard.
i cut some it into more manageable chunks and plated them with grapes and kiwi. divine.
and then five minutes later i went back and hoovered the rest of it down.
and then five minutes later my stomach began to register the fluffypuffy crust. oops.
i just finished up some yoga in hopes of stretching my leadlegs out.
oh and dont worry. cath and i went and got some more peanut butter this afternoon. ;]
so whats the word..thin and crispy or chewy doughy crust?
im a total thin and crispy girl. with loads of veggie toppings. nom.

i had wanted to try sarahs cottage cheese nonsense but it was early and my magic bullet is anything but considerate. all in good time my friends. all in good time.
then i discovered my icard is missing. and i NEED it for important university things. but mostly i just wanted to do some crosstraining after my classes. bummer. and its twentybucks to replace goshdarnit. thats like eighteen pounds of bananas ill never get to eat. :/
after class i came home and ripped apart my room in search of my icard but no such luck. so i comforted my heavy heart with a delightful little treat.
cutiecutie and reeeeeses!!! my group won the review game of sorts we had played in my discussion this morning [i swear in not still in middle school]. so i took my handful of reeses for winning. and then a handful or two more because some of my group members didnt want theres. [doubleyouteeeff?!] of course i had more than just the one pictured. but i was trying to be cutesie.
since i couldnt crosstrain at the arc and its GORGE out again today i decided id just go for an easy run. reeses arent necessarily the best prerun fuel so i ate half a clif bar. [remember the one i didnt get to yesterday? his day had finally come. mwahahaha.]
i just went for a nice threemiles and only had to deal with one full red light and a couple halvsies. schwing. i got home and hung out with my girl jillian michaels for a few while we shredded it up. level three style.
heres my lunch ‘salad’. aka a bit of romaine and spinach with a MOUND of butternut squash and some green and yellow peppers all roasted up. grapes joined the party.
roommate rant: so this gal that i live with. shes the antithesis of a healthy eater. she lives on fiery cheetos and blue kool-aid but whatever. to each her own. however. every time i am cooking something with a nutritional value she makes a big scene about how gross and smelly and disgusting my food is. she walked in this afternoon when i was heating up my squash and was like ‘OH MY GOD. WHAT IS THAT SMELL. IT SMELLS HEALTHY. THATS SO GROSS. WHAT IS THAT!?’ ugh. its getting old. okay. end rant.
anywho. now im just sort of chillin out. pretending my neverending list of things to do does not exist. sigh. if only.

pear for some serious snackage on my walk back to my apartment from class. i was going to eat it in class but i refrained from munchcrunching the poor chap next to mes ear off.
i picked up a shift for a girlie at work so i packed up this romaine/spinach salad with chicken and black beans salsa zukes summer squash carrots peppers etc.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaand some pretzels and a cutie for good measure.
im all out of those pretzels now and am sad. they were quite convenient and on sale for super cheap at meijer a while back [i never would have bought them otherwise].
work was pretty alright. i started to snap a few pictures of the joint so get ready for a cupcaketastic post in the near future.
we had a sign out about ordering our chocolate stout cupcakes for the festivities today and a guy who works at a restaurant across the street came in to talk to me about them. apparently they make a stout cake over in those parts. any which way. he thought it was the bees knees that we had similar cupcakes and so a few hours later he brought me back a big ole honkin piece of his cake for me to try. im not huge into cake. id much rather have a cookie or ice cream or chocolate. but who am i to turn down a gift? i was trying to get a picture but a customer came in. heres the box he brought it over in though. cute:
after i got home from work i wasnt starved but thought i should eat something dinneresque.
turkey. bbq sauce. veggies. all on a sandwich thin. with grapes. i had sooo many more than that. and some leftover carrot and pepper pieces.
get ready for some monotony in the next few days as i use up what i got here in the apartment before SPRING BREAK. WOO.
late night snackies. h2h. probar crumbles. lindt seventypercentdark. peanutbutter!!! apples slices. etc. [i thought this probar was loads better than the first flavor i tried. check it out yall. haha. 'AMAZING GRASS.' i suppose 'SAMBAZON' is pretty fun as well.]
and lord knows i went back for way more peanut butter. had to make a dent in the new jar. you know how it is.
i ended the evening with some nice detox yoga. it was a pretty lowkey day on the exercise front [as my mondays always are].
this morning i woke up and opted for some cereal. which is weird. because i never actually eat cereal when its to be expected. ill blame the hormones.
heaven. otherwise known as kashi h2h. fone. frozen banana. dried berries [last of the bag. tragic.] and chopped almonds. oh. any soymilk. yum.
then i went for a fabulous sixmiler. it took me fiftytwominutes ish based on the clock when i left and returned but i had to jog in place for FIVE full red lights. obnoxious for sure.
and um. hello gorgeous weather. it was highsixties/lowseventies all day long. with a nice cool breeze. i was so happy. yay yay yay.
in not so happy news. i managed to bleed all up in my shoe. the same thing happened in the other shoe a few weeks back. classy. [at least now theyre balanced?]
bleeding makes me hungry. or maybe running six miles does. or maybe breathing does. yeah. im gonna go with that one.
lunch was three eggies scrambled up with black beans. random veggies. turkey. and salsa. garnished with my roommates hot sauce. super good. and the rest of last nights apple cinnamized.
a cutie. my fav clif. an iced coffee/latte of sorts. and water. all packed up for class. i didnt end up eating the clif though. dont worry. its time will come. mwahahaha. ?
dinner was sooo good. i had a butternut squash that needed to get eatin before heading home for break so i roasted the whole thing up. then i mixed up some chickpeas. pepper. corn. and carrot. with some rice wine vinegar and bbq sauce and let the flavors all meld together. after the squash was ready to i plopped my mixture into the seedcubbiehole and popped it back into my toven [oaster takes too long to type?] and broiled it for a few minutes. SO GOOD. too bad i totally burnt my thumb off through the pot holder. i mean towel. that i was using to get it out of the toven. totally worth it though. i had some grapies to go along. picture that wee dish times thirtyseven. give or take.
now im just sort of hangin out. realizing that i ramblepost. sorry yall.
i think im going to do some yoga now.

i mean catch up.
i have a lot of that to do.
i have waaaaaay too many pictures of food from thursday friday saturday and today so ill just pick the best ones from the bunch.
thursday i woke up to some fab fig/pistachio oaties.
we all know what oats look like. but before i added the bulk of my toppings i tried to make the bowl look classy so youre gonna look at them gosh darnit!
then i went for a nice six mile run. did some quick arm weight doodles. and eventually came home and did some yogaaaa.
lunch was leftover subway [ovenroastedchickenbreast - wheat] and a delicious apple.
i snicksnacked on a larabar in class and then came home to the most superb dinner!!
a big ole spinach/romaine salad with roasted veggies and pineapple and turkey meat. of course i had to have some kashi lovebites on the side. what made the salad was the super dressing i managed to concoct. bbq sauce. rice wine vinegar. hummus. and a splash of pineapple juice. it was heavenly.
i ended the night with a h2h. chocochunk. dried berrie medley.

friday was mostly the usual. oats. turkey wrap. clems. random nibbles. etc etc.
then i headed home for the weekend. wooo!

[eep! twins!] lots of typical large social gathering food was consumed. casseroles and such. definitely not my thing. but i had just ran six miles so i managed. the large table of cookies help. ;]
i got home. did some yoger and cleaned up the house for the arrival of my mamacita. all the while munching away on chocolate and an apple and some more cereal because its what i do.
dinner was an eggiescramble with lots of veggies and blackbeans and a frozen waffle with peanut butter and jel schmeared on top.
after the meister returned home and we gabbed about her travels i settled in for a snack or several.

there was lots more cereal and peanut butter too. but that goes without saying.
this morning was obviously more oats after a divine yoga sesh.
then i ran ten miles. this was my third time running this distance but today it was excruciating. my legs were so heavy and my nose is still a drippin away. i thought the run would never end. i still managed to pound out around eightthirty miles so i suppose i cant complain.
lunch was delicious considering what i had [or didnt have] to work with since rather than stocked up on groceries while i was out running for an hour and a half cath decided to get herself hardees for lunch. grumblegrumble.

then on the trip back to school i had a cinnamon dolce latte from starbucks. so good so good. and lots of snickysnacks. yum.

lotsa random veggies on a sandwich thin and grapes. i ate a hoard of the veggies in the chopping process. mmm. fresh!
the night is young so im sure the kitchen raid will soon begin.
yowzah. i definitely need to figure out how to upload pictures onto my mac without doing so via my printer because once im home for spring break homegirl is gonna have to lots of good eats to show!

but lets start with breakfast. shall we? which was interesting to say the least. i think knowing that it would be my first food on the blog caused me to be a little googlie in the kitchen this morning. aka the ingredients in my oats were:
-pinch of salt.
yeah. you definitely read that right. CUMIN. which i thought was the cinnamon. interestingly enough the containers dont even look remotely similar.
im a trooper so i ate them anyway.
i topped my awkward oats with a couple chopped up figlets and my greenish tinged nut butter. aka my homemade cashachio butter. [cashew/pistachio?]
i didnt actually eat the oats on the shelf but i was trying to set the mood?
and please disregard that fossil calendar that seems to think its octobertwentyfourth.
after some cumintastic digestion i hit up the arc to get in my long run for the day. ten gosh darn miles. on a treadmill. in an hourandeighteen minutes no less. thats under eightminute miles. i think maybe i had a faulty treadmill? haha. either way. distance pr. woo. go me. :]
obnoxiously enough the treadmills at the arc only go up to sixtyminutes. so at about sevenandahalf miles i had to start a new workout.
afterwards i did a good ten minutes of stretching and then headed back to my apartment. on my trek back i gobbled up a baggie of figlets. no picture. but im sure we all know what figs look like. if not. see breakfast.
i imagine ill have lots of unpictured bites here and there..though i do hope that blogging will help keep that in check. im for sure a nibbler. especially late at night. oops.
lunch was my pauper attempt at pitapit. nom.
i toasted up a pita in my handydandy toaster oven. it included:
-chicken. lunch meat style.
i sizzled it all up and it was damn good if i do say so myself.
alongside it i had a schplop of cottage cheese and a clem and some grapes. imagine about a thousand more grapes than that. i definitely munch while i cook.
after my eats i got a splendid yoga session in.
i opted for a twenty minute hip opening flow from yogadownload.
yogadownload was a total godsend for me over christmas break when it was far too frigid to run outside and i had no access to a gym. i love you yd!
i started nibbling and munching in excess a little while later. so i decided to make dinner.
here we have my first attempt at a tofu scramble. along with some berries and nectarine. and half a sandwich thin smeared with my cashachio butter and some jam. mmm mmm mmm.
the scramble turned out real good since i didnt have a recipe of sorts and never tasted it along the way. its got some asparagus. carrot. pepper. soy sauce. and a mishmosh of spices. NO cumin. oh yeah. and some tofu.
sorry my pictures are so awful. my current camera is one that my friend gave to me because hes a photography major at some hip school in chicago and was far too superior for the craptastic camera. im in the process of looking for a new camera but well..im a poor college gal so well see what happens. bear with me!

i have not eaten near enough today. but no worries. im sure my evening will be filled with countless nibbles and noshes. ill try to capture them on film but well see. im pretty proud of my first day efforts. you can pat me on the back now. ;]

i was thinking i could post a bit about the little cupcake factory i work at. and maybe a blurb about our awesome new workout facility here on campus? but thats really all i got. i want to make this blog really open and such. lemme know what you guys wanna see!
