because im a liar.

‘regularly scheduled blogging’ shant resume today.

but i do still have things to blog aboutttt. huzzah.

im not too sure how these next few days will be in
terms of blogging since im headed home on friday
and so trying to use up odds and ends. for example
last night for ‘dinner’ i ate half a jar of …

DARK CHOCOLATE DREAMS PB&CO PEANUT BUTTER!

so good. but not so much a balanced meal/snack
whatever it was. my eats were so sporadic yesterday
thanks to an oddball shift at the cupcake factory.

anyways. back to this peanut butter and co business..

as i mentioned in a previous post i received the best
birthday present EVER from my dearest galfriday!!!

the lovely emily put together a blogger birthday club.
i was lucky enough to get paired up with heather.

anyways. the highlight of the gift was the box it came in:

i was trying to save the peanut butters and actually did not even crack them open until this friday. throughout the day i had some of all three. so goshdiddlydang amazing. i tried really hard to consume them in moderation. i actually didnt do too bad on friday. last night however. i did quite a number on the dark chocolate dreams. no regrets though because i know heather would want me to go at all of those jars like there was no tomorrow. yall know me. i aim to please. theyll be gone in no time heather. no worries. ;]

also. those maple nut oaties..holy mackerel. there are no words.

today has been quite a lazy day indeed. the last few weeks have been crazzzzy with the end of the semester and exams and projects and the cupcake factory and such so im glued to my bed. splendid!

hi hi hi!

im back yall. woo hoo.

to be honest ive had a computer since monday
[ended up having to just buy a new one. so having
to wait the two weeks to see if my fatherman could
fix it was sort of for naught. cest la vie am i right?]
..but yeah. anyways. i just wasnt ready to get back
into the whole blogging thing. im still sort of not.
as in i havent been taking pictures of my eats. but
truuuuuuust me. ive been eating. in excess. yum!

obviously not a complete representation of what
i have been eating for the past two and a half or
so weeks but here are a few photos from when i
first stopped blogging and didnt know how long
my hiatus would be. lots and lots more peanut
butter. frozen yogurt. ice cream. cookies. etc etc.
also. nutritional things. in moderation of course. ;]

anyways. tonight and tomorrow are going to worktastical.

seriously. its overrated.

so for my first late night snickysnack last night i decided to coordinate with my peanut butter.

a bit later i was wanting some more munchcrunch action.

then i just went at the jar of peanut butter. at one point i stopped long enough to slather some on a sandwich thin with banana slices and make a legit snack out of it. but then i just went back to the spoon.

by the time my head hit the pillow last night a third of the jar was gone.

dayum. im very upset about this. but only because its not going to last long. boo.

i woke up this morning and thought it best to avoid the PEANUT butter.

aka GOOD MORNING BARNEY BUTTER. this was one of the free samples i got in the mail. it was pretty good. but not like drop your pants good. if it were available around here [its not] and were comparable to wherever nut butter i was fixin to buy [doubt it. homegirls on a budget.] id grab a jar. but i dont think id ever shell out the extra dollahs for shipping. not my style. anyways. soymilknaner oats. fone. cranberries. delicious as always.

then it was off for a funfilled morning of self-inflicted pain. i mean. class.

i made it home with enough time to pack up some grub and out the door i went. to the cupcake factory!

i didnt eat the pure protein bar. i did make myself an iced latte or two. and obviously there were nibbles. i mean come on. i work around cupcakes. chocolate. and gelato. thatd be tough even for someone with some level of restraint.

after work i was planning on going for a run but then my friend who just returned from NEW ZEALAND offered up dinner with her fam. they were going to biaggis which in my humble [im always right.] opinion is not that great. but who am i to turn down free food?

i had a snack first because i got off at six and was gettin hungry and dinner wasnt until sevenfifteen.

there must be some food that i ate that isnt orange..right? there might have been crackers too? okay. there definitely were.

anyways. no pictures from dinner. but i managed to eat a good portion of the big house salad for the table. drenched in dressing. not so fun. but whats a gal to do? for my entree of sorts i ordered the mediterranean pizza. it was a biggin. and i was good only ate half of it. [moderation!] but as soon as i got home i went into the kitchen to put it in the fridge and ended up polishing off the other half. [its overrated anyways.]

so thats where i be now. unrunned. overeatened. supah tired. cest la vie.

no big plans for the rest of the evening. maybe trying to figure out how im going to get out of these pants. perhaps ive been overcompensating for my running these past few weeks. oops. i guess that means ill just have to go shopping for new jeans. ;]

anyways. if anyone wants to come over and play scrabble that sounds pretty alright with me right about now. byopb. [though any nut butter will do.]

the lovely dani at foodshouldtastegood was nice enough to send me some chippies to try out for the blog. these olive chips werent my favorite. but i dont like olives. so ya know. they were still pretty alright all things considered. and they definitely satisfied my salt craving. [for a bit. some honeychipotlechip with cottagecheese action occurred later on in the evening.]

this was my first experience with vitatops. i mean. it was good. but like. not OH MY GOD AMAZING. i had higher expectations. dont get me wrong the box will not last long but i dont quite see what all the fuss is about.

i could NOT get out of bed this morning. which is totally fine since i dont have class until three on tuesday/thursdays. and i lack ambition.

sweet wheat bagel. half with cottage cheese and some heated up frozen berries. the other half had a NEW peanut butter!!! and a few orange slices. totally hit the spot.

thanks to lovelies at pbloco this little buddy was the star of breakfast. mmmm. super sweet and artificial but so damn good. peanut butter. chocolate. bananas. how can you go wrong!?

then i crawled back into bed. but the stupid sun was shining all up in my business and making me feel guilty. ‘fiiiiiiiiiiiiiine sun. i will come suck you all up.’ aka i went for a splendid six mile run. it was great. i love being warm.

i should totally join in on lengs salad challenge. but im sure the second i commit ill run out of romaine. and i certainly cannot ahve that. plus im totally commitmentphobic. anyways. romaine. turkey. carrots. peppers. bbq/hummus/ricewinevinegar dressing of sorts. fone for CRUNCH. and apple wedges with cinnamon. i got mad love for cool crisp foods.

i was fixin to make some iced coffee to take to class. and i wanted some post lunch sweetness. aka i made my own little version of cocoa coffee. basically i just iced mine. and added a few glugs of soy milk since i dont do creamers and such. it was amazing. that bender knows whats up.

i brought along this larabar as well. PECAN PIE. i really liked it. which surprised me since pecans are probably my least favorite nut of sorts. and i dont like pie. bravo larabar. you done good. [thanks to my little lolita for sending me this little guy since i never would have opted to buy it for myself!]

class was pretty alright. except that it was sixty and sunny out. and the quad was covered with people laying around and playing frisbee and enjoying themselves. grrr. at least its supposed to be nice all day tomorrow. wait. i have class. class. class. and then straight to work. BUMMER.

i had some broccoli slaw in the fridge and i hadnt a clue what i wanted to do with it. but then i did have a clue! and then i had dinner.

i chopped up some orange pepper [my favorite!] and dug in the freezer for some corn and stirfried it all up with a few big handfuls of slaw and some shrimpalimp. the sauce/marinade/stirfrying liquid was a mishmosh: ricewinevinegar. teriyakisauce. honey. red pepper flakes. ginger powder. garlic powder. sesame oil. etc etc. super delicious. i had some kashi crackers on the side. im not sure why. it seemed like a good idea at the time. i have no regrets. also. the rest of my orange from breakfast. the little chinese restaurant back home always had orange slices along with the fortune cookies at the end and so i wanted to channel the goodness that is golden garden. [i did NOT eat that purple barrette. the orange hue was just too dominate and i was trying to make the bits of cabbage pop. awk since you cannot see a single piece of the cabbage action.]

i considered eating this with some chopsticks that i had lying around but i totally lack coordination [hello. why do you think im a runner?] and it would have taken longer than the three minutes in which i inhaled this delight. forker for life.

im already pondering dessert. mmm. decisions decisions.

i really like cashews. and almonds. and pistachios. and hazelnuts. [okay. so i like them all. but walnuts and pecans are on the lower end of the spectrum.]

and no preaching about how walnut and such arent really nuts because i say they are and thats whats up. kapeesh?

hey guys. sorry ive been so aloof.

but i have good reason this time!

since the wee age of five just had
babies. yes. plural. as in TWO. two
happy healthy beautiful boys. !!!

i just got back from normal. they are
sooooo little. i dont even like babies
but these two. oh my good golly.

anyways. my picture taking has been
sort of lacking and such. and i have
to get some schtuff done tonight so
ill just leave you with a gallery of a
little bit of what ive been eating these
days. nothing too legit. you may
notice that i restocked my edys
loaded butterfinger ice cream. YUM!

on the exercise front ive been takin
it pretty easy. nice three mile run
yesterday. a little jaunt on the good
ole arctrainer today. just keepin my
legs moving. nothing too strenuous.

hello my little friends.

thanks so much for all your lovely comments
about my run. it was amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing.

and yesterday was fabulous as well. i ate so much.
the funny thing is that i didnt eat a lot when i was
celebrating the holiday and such. but between the
easter candy throughout the day and my mondo
attack of the cabinets once i got back to school
last night i should be able to go about six days
without eating again. should being the key word.

lets get back into the swing of things though eh?

so for breakfast this morning i had an eggie scramble that i shoved into a pita along with an apple drenched in cinnamon and peanutbutter. the pictures just werent that great though. stupid dreary rain. so here is the one picture i managed to snap on friday:

[everything is fine..i just love the nineties.]

anyways. i really am torn though.

i dont know if i want saturday morning to get here right now.
or to never ever come. oy ve. my tummy is all sorts of jumbled.

the funny thing is i dont know why im so nerrrrrvous. i KNOW
i can run thirteenpointonemiles. and i sincerely just want to
run a halfmarathon. time is of no importance. quite puzzling.

anyways. food pictures are sooo much better than my rambles.

another splendid bowl of SOYMILK banana oats. topped with fone. zoes granola. pistachios. and more dried crans for good measure. and a cuppa joe. IM OUT OF COFFEE. which is sort of a good thing. because coffee before i run always gives me the poops [sorry] and i dont want to even be tempted to drink any on saturday morning. that bowl looks so tiny. i think its because that spoon is itty bitty so it throws off the proportions. moh well.

i always get my workout on after a bit of digestion on tuesday and thursday so it was weird to not today. but i obeyed my buddy hal.

besides..i had studying to do. [i slept and snack ALL DAY].

here we have my dear friend mister deconstructedturkeypita. i bronzed a pita pita in the toaster oven with lots of chilipowder and cumin and smoked paprika. mostly for the colors. and then chopped up some carrots and peppers. some turkey for protein and such. all dipped in a bbq/hummus bowl of divine. and half a HUGE apple with cinnamon. and little chunk of a butterfinger that i discovered and munched on last night. mmm. what a lovely little lunching experience i had.

then it was go time. dumb exam. theres always summer school..right?

i made it through classes without the need for a snack. but i was gettin sort of grumbly on my walk home so i munched on this guy so that i didnt absolutely obliterate my wee kitchen once i walked in the door. my plan quasi worked. who gnu?

i like to mix it up. so for dinner i had a salad since i NEVER eat salads. romaine. spinach. and then a mix of veggies and shrimp all cooked up in lime juice. chili powder. and hot sauce. i topped the salad with salsa and my lovely traderjoeschips and called it delicious.

insert drab college stuff here. buzzkill.

and since everyone loves my late night munches!

here we have the rest of my apple from lunch. some cheerios. more zoes granola. newmans own organics cinnamon sugar soy crisps. PEANUTBUTTER. and a hunka chocolate. [wait. theres no chocolate in this picture. well..there should be. it was a last minute add in and apparently this picture was taken prior. let your imagination run wild.]

obviously i went back for a bit more peanut butter. by the time i got to the chocolate the spoon had long been sucked dry and well..mister chocolate was horribly lonesome. im quite the matchmaker if i do say so myself.
